House of Lords
It was a real pleasure to be invited to the House of Lords to train staff in management and leadership techniques. Very little support of this kind was traditionally offered, meaning CXPeople was able to produce a suite of training courses aimed at new managers and leaders as well as middle managers who had little to no previous training.
Over 100 staff attended training over a series of events, with topics ranging from how to coach staff for better performance, how to recruit new team members successfully, how to conduct a productive performance conversation and how to communicate with impact.
Results showed that 100% of delegates rated the course as very good or excellent with one participant commenting:
“From my perspective as a new starter to the House of Lords, the online session worked really well – I wasn’t sure how effective an online session would be , but it exceeded my expectations. James Rose, the training consultant, was excellent in delivering the sessions and particularly good on the structure, pace of the session, bringing the participants in to interact at appropriate times. The handout had lots of incredibly useful practical tips and advice. James also gave plenty of examples of what the guidance looked like in practice which again was really valuable.
I have attended quite a lot of training and workshops on performance management during my career, but I thought this session had a lot more to offer and many learning points to take away and reflect on.”
